HOW TO DO A GYMNASTICS BACK WALKOVER
Tweet A back walkover is a basic skill in gymnastics.
REQUIREMENTS: handstands, backbend, split and possibly a kick over.
STEP 1: Go into a backbend with
your dominant leg shooting straight up to the ceiling.
STEP 2: With your eyes fixed to your hand, go into a back bend (remember to arch your back well cus the better the arching the easier the skill.
STEP 3: with your dominant leg still onthe air, go into a handstand split and guide our dominat leg and the other leg nicely to the floor.
STEP 4: Finsh in a nice lounge position.
NB: learning a back walkover is the easiest and next step to learning a Back hanspring. Also note that it takes a lot of practice to learn the skill. Just be patient and consistent in your training and will be good in less than 2 months. Goodluck!
