Reactions to U.S Aly Raisman' decision of posing nude for ESPN

The gyminternet has reacted positively
and negatively regarding the two time
Olympic gold medalist U.S Aly Raisman' decision of posing nude for ESPN body
issue, but what about her competitors'
opinion?

ProSport,the major Romanian sport
newspapers, asked Sandra Izbasa and
Catalina Ponor for their opinions
regarding Aly’s decision.

The two time Olympic champion , SandraIzbasa, confessed that she appreciates the artistic photographs but for the moment she’s not planning to follow in her footsteps.
“Her goal was to show that beauty has
many faces, that the athletic body which you dedicate so much time working on, can be considered beautiful. She had the courage to do this, I believe that it is not
easy to do such kind of photo shoots, to
overcome one's inhibitions, to be in that
mood where it is only you and the
camera. For the moment I feel fine and
comfortable the way I am” said Sandra.

On the other hand, Athens Olympic
champion, Catalina Ponor, stated that
she saw the pictures of Aly Raisman as
well as those of Alicia Sacromone,
another U.S. gymnast who also posed
nude for the magazine's issue four years ago, but she will never do it.
“Good for her, maybe I couldn’t find
such courage but everyone is free to do
whatever they wish with their bodies. If
you have never seen me in any article or magazine posing naked, it means I didn't do it and I will never do it” said Ponor.
