University of Denver gymnastics team Signs Three Women for 2017 Season







The head coach of Denver Gymnastic Melissa Kutcher-Rinehart announced yesterday, Thursday, 11th Nov, 2015 the signing in of 3 members for the upcoming task of 2017.  
Maddie Karr (Stillwater, Minn.),
Courtney Loper (West Des Moines, Iowa)
Samantha Ogden (Allen, Texas)
The 3 Athletes signed their National Letters of Intent this week as part of the early signing period.



Maddie Karr is a Level 10 gymnast from Twin City Twisters.

Achievements: In 2015,
  • Nastia Liukin CupAll-around Champion at the  Nastia Liukin Cup, 2nd  on vault, 3rd on bars and floor. 
  • She qualified to J.O. Nationals for straight five years, 2nd on beam at 2015 J.O. Nationals, 3rd in the all-around and 4th on vault in 2015. She is known for her consistency and how she deals with  pressure in high-level competition.


Courtney Loper is a Level 10 gymnast from Chow's Gymnastics in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Achievements:
  • She has qualified to J.O. Nationals every year since 2012, and finished eighth on floor and 14th in the all-around in 2015. 
  • In the last two years, she finished top three in the Region 4 Championships, including third on floor in 2015, and first in the all-around and on floor in 2014.
"Courtney is known for her flowing elite lines," Kutcher-Rinehart said. "Her outstanding work ethic was evident from even my first visit to Chow's Gymnastics."




Sam Ogden is a former international elite and current Level 10 gymnast training at World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA) in Plano, Texas.

Achievements:
  • She finished ninth in the all-around at the 2014 U.S. Secret Classic and qualified as a junior to the 2013 P&G Championships 
  • Finished eighth on bars and 16th in the all-around at the 2013 P&G Championships. 
  • won bars, and finished third on beam and in the all-around at the  2014 Nadia Comaneci Invite. 
  • In 2015, she competed at the Region 3 Championships, finishing sixth on beam, ninth on vault and 11th in the all-around.
"Sam brings international elite experience, which is invaluable," Kutcher-Rinehart said. "She's known for complex and stylish gymnastics, especially on bars and beam."
