Women’s Gymnastics Event Finals @ 2015 Baku European Gaames



Women’s gymnastics event finals have been concluded  at the 2015 Baku European Games. Giulia Steingruber of Switzerland took the vault title with a 14.999. On bars, Aliya Mustafina secured the gold with a 15.400. Lieke Wevers of the Netherlands became the beam champion with a 14.200, and Steingruber won the floor exercise title with a 14.266.
On vault, Steingruber competed a huge
front handspring on, one and a half twist off, as well as a Yurchenko layout full with controlled landings to secure the gold with a 14.999. Russia’s Seda Tutkhalyan took second with a 14.683—highlighted by a strong Yurchenko double full. Lisa Top of the Netherlands finished third with a 14.016.
On bars, Mustafina’s precise form and a stuck landing gave her an edge over the competition by just two tenths. She earned a 15.400, while Sophie Scheder of Germany put up a very clean routine with big releases for a 15.200 to earn the silver. Andreea Iridon of Romania took the bronze with a 12.800. 
Wevers competed an incredibly confident beam set to earn the gold with a 14.200. Iridon performed a beautiful routine displaying great flexibility and received a 14.000 for silver. Steingruber scored a 13.700 with a solid routine, including a stuck piked gainer full dismount to secure the bronze.
On the floor, Steingruber had a powerful and expressive routine for a 14.266. Mustafina took second with a 14.200 by showing a captivating routine with very clean landings and impressive dance elements, including a quadruple turn. Wevers received bronze, with a lovely balletic routine for a 13.800 score.
